When officers observed an underage man trying to conceal a bottle of alcohol, then fleeing on foot, they stopped him. Justin R. Stark, 20, was found to be drinking. He was arrested and taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Facility for habitual minor consuming alcohol on Feb. 29.
During the Festival of Native Arts, two females were asked to be removed due to drunk and belligerent behavior. One female was uncooperative and trespassed from UAF for the remainder of the festival on Mar. 1.
Early on Mar. 1, a male was contacted for walking on the road of University Avenue. He was taken into protective custody and released to a friend.
An intoxicated woman in the parking lot of the Bunnell Building was taken into protective custody on Mar. 1.
A glass door was reported broken at the Wood Center around 10 p.m. on Mar. 1.
Marijuana was found on a driver and passenger who were stopped for an equipment violation on Farmer’s Loop. Julia M. Duncan, 18, and Alyssa M. Cooper, 20 were cited and released.
Officers smelled marijuana when they were trying to serve an arrest warrant in Moore Hall. They found that Arthur K. Slats, 19 possessed some of the illegal substance on Mar. 2.
On Mar. 3, an iPod Nano and digital camera were reported stolen from a residence in Skarland.
An RA called law enforcement when a man was banging on his door and yelling for him to come out. The RA feared being attacked. Landon J. Bauer, 19, was arrested for assault and disorderly conduct. Daniel A. Serfass, 18 was also arrested for disorderly conduct after he interfered with the investigation.
On Mar. 5, UAF PD received information on drug activity in the Fairbanks area.
Two juveniles were trespassed from campus for riding bikes in the Great Hall on Mar. 7.
Four underage drinkers were cited and released after an officer observed them carrying a ladder up a trail on North Tanana Drive.
A laptop was reported stolen from Gruening on Mar. 10.
When a man was found sleeping in the Fine Arts Complex after hours, he was taken into custody and trespassed from campus on Mar. 11.
Drug paraphernalia was found and turned in to the police department on Mar. 11.
An unattended infant was reported at Old University Park. An officer located the guardian who had left the infant for short periods of time while attending a class. Information was passed on to the Office of Child Services for follow-up.
