Whereas, Being a Senator takes a lot of time because Senate meetings are long, committee meetings are long, and polishing our egos takes quite a bit of time as well;
Whereas, "Time is a precious thing" according to Steve Perry and multiple other songwriters;
Whereas, The bylaws state that the Internal Affairs Committee is charged with considering Presidental appointments to the Senate;
Whereas, Committee time is obviously too important to be wasted on such silly things as following the bylaws;
Whereas, It makes more sense to change the bylaws to suit our convenience than to continually go against them and run the risk of someone noticing and asking us what the hell we're doing; and
Whereas, Checks and Balances are for sissies; now, therefore be it
Enacted, That the Executive Committee be charged with erasing from the bylaws all references regarding reviewing Presidential appointments.
