Whereas, The university does not stop operation during the summer;
Whereas, ASUAF does not and should not cease operation during the summer;
Whereas, ASUAF represents all UAF students, including summer students;
Whereas, ASUAF provides recycling and administrative services during the summer; and
Whereas, If we charge a $10.00 ASUAF summer fee it will help cushion the current budget shortfalls; now therefore be it
Enacted, That the following question be placed on the ASUAF ballot:
ASUAF provides recycling and administrative services during the summer. KSUA and Concert Board also provide services during Summer Sessions. Currently, summer students do not pay a fee, and students taking classes during the academic year provide all of the funding for these services. If summer students paid a small fee, ASUAF would possibly be able to provide more services.
Should ASUAF charge summer students a $10 fee?
