Whereas, Last year the Alaska Achievers Incentive Program (AAIP) was presented to the Alaska State Legislature;
Whereas, AAIP originated out of an idea by Jake Hamburg, the ASUAF president at the time;
Whereas, AAIP recieved support from many sources and several state legislators; and
Whereas, AAIP did not pass the state legislature because the session ended; now therefore be it
Resolved, That ASUAF supports continued efforts to establish needs-based scholarships and recognizes that tuition costs are a major barrier in pursuing higher education.
